WHAT IS THE LE  FOYER HOSTEL?

In difference with the traditional understanding of hostels, Le Foyer provides budget and sociable accommodation with a focus on quality and privacy. That's why instead of big dorms with lost of beds we only have 3 bed dorms and most of our rooms are privates. We are a hostel in terms of the common areas and sociable spaces and relaxed atmosphere where guests can mingle and meat each other, such as the TV room, rooftop, patio and balcony. Back to top...

Can I have friends / family visiting me in the hostel?

How can I contact a guest at your hostel?

Only if the guest has allowed us to provide info about them staying with us we will do our best to contact him/her. We do not have phones in the rooms. You can always call or email us to leave a message for them and we will do our best to contact them. Back to top...


Do I need to bring a sleeping bag / bedding?

DO YOU OFFER LUGGAGE STORAGE?

Do you know about any tours / activities?

Yes! We run a tour desk in the reception where you can get bookings for tours around the city and rafting on the chili river or trekking tours to Colca Canyon. You can pay when you book at reception when you arrive or book them online at any time. We also can recommend places for your visit and the best spots where to have food and drinks.  Ask at reception for tickets for other attractions. Can I cancel my booking?

When booking with us cancellations can be made up to 24 hours prior to scheduled check in (1pm). Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of the stay. For example, if you are due to arrive on Tuesday, cancellations can be made at any point up to 1pm on Monday. Back to top...


What happens if I do not show up?

If you do not show up for check in, we will cancel your booking, charge you for the first night of your stay and refund you any further money that you might have paid in advance.

Do you do pick ups from the airport?

How do I get there?

The easiest way to come from the airport or from the bus station is with a taxi. If you are coming from the airport you can book a transfer with us.  Unfortunately we cannot provide transfer service from the bus station due to the irregular arrival times. If you are coming from the bus station you can take a taxi from inside the bus station, the ones with photo check.

Please beware: Other taxi drivers will want to take you to other hostels that give them a commission by saying we are full or no good at all. If you booked with us in advance, your room is going to be there! And if you didn't book no worries, we always have room for the spontaneous traveller!! Back to top...

Is there a charge to leave my bags at the hostel before or after check in / out or during my visit to colca?

Can I check in without an ID?

Do you accept walk in bookings?

Yes, we accept walk in bookings, however, after 10 pm these are no longer possible. It is always best to book or call us in advance to avoid any problems. Back to top...


Where can I find the cheapest prices?

You will ALWAYS find the cheapest rates here on our website. We only charge 2% of your booking in advance and your bookings through us are refundable if you cancel in line with our cancellations policy. Back to top...


I booked a dorm, Can I stay in the same room as my friends / the other people in my booking?

We always do our best to place people in the same party in the same room. However, when booking hostel accommodation, you are simply reserving a bed in a certain room type, not a specified room.
For example, if you book 3x beds in a 3-bed dorm, this does not necessarily mean that all 4 beds will be in the same 4-bed dorm.

Normally this is not an issue, however, during busy periods when we have many bookings, your party may be spread across multiple rooms.

Please note: It is recommended that you contact us to reconfirm your booking as early as possible if you wish to be placed in the same room as the other members of your group (subject to availability). How can I pay?

We accept all major credit cards. You can also pay in cash when you arrive. If you book online your payment must be secured using a credit or debit card. You can pay in cash or by credit/debit card such as Visa or MasterCard. Back to top...


Can I pay in soles / dollars / smiles / hugs / bananas?

We only accept payments in soles and dollars. If you booked in dollars and want to pay in soles we will use the exchange rate of the day.

What can I do if I want to extend my stay?

It’s easy! If you want to extend your stay, just come to reception before 11:00 am (check out time) and pay for your new night(s). This is subject to availability. We will try to book you in the same bed in order to make your stay easier, but this cannot be guaranteed. Please note that stays over 2 weeks are subject to management discretion. Back to top...


How safe is it to book on your website?

Do you charge my card if I book online?

If you pay via our website, we charge a not refundable 2% of the total amount at the time of booking. Booking directly with us means you get the cheapest rates available and a flexible cancellation policy. Can I change my booking?

As long as we are informed at least 24 hours before check in, we can make changes or correction.
